What is the proper base material for a patio? How much is needed?

Different base materials are needed depending on the patio surface and use case. Generally, there will be a minimum of a 6in base of aggregate or concrete.

Do you include drainage in your quotes?

Yes, as needed. Proper drainage is crucial to a successful hardscape, landscape, or masonry project.

Are pavers durable?

Yes. It is also worth noting that in the rare event a paver cracks or fails, they are inexpensive and easy to replace.

How do I keep weeds from growing on my patio?

Most weed growth in patios happens due to surface intrusion of organic material and soil. The best way to prevent weed growth is by maintaining the patio joints and blowing off the patio regularly.

Can you complete our entire project? Masonry-woodwork-plantings-lights-etc?

Yes, we prefer to complete projects entirely. You will need a design consultation and a design which we also provide.

Is stone expensive?

Yes, most stone is expensive to purchase and install. If you have stone already that is easily accessible, you can save big on your project.

I need a retaining wall that is functional more than it is pretty-what can I do?

Manufactured wall block systems can be affordable depending on the use case. We also offer a large (12-18in) round stone wall which keeps costs down while still looking presentable or we can use a cement block which can be covered later with a stone veneer. Other service providers may offer boulder walls, large block systems and concrete walls.
